Hi I’m Cindy Roy. I was born on August 22nd 1976 in Bathurst New-Brunswick, Canada. I am originally from Robertville, New-Brunswick, now living in Québec. I have been singing since age 2. Performing and singing is in my blood! Growing up I was surrounded by a family of musicians and singers. Of a poor childhood I learned the true values of life. I do not regret anything. All the experiences make us evolve, and helps us grow. I love nature. I think that it is very important to appreciate it. We take it too often for granted. As early as my early school years, my idols are, Diane Tell and Francis Cabrel deeply touched me. The first song I fell in love with: "Ah si j`était un homme" by Diane Tell (Oh if I were A Man) Music is always a big part of my life. For me it is important to sing everyday just as it is important to have a shower!! It is essential! 1995 I went To study at the University of Moncton in primary education. I remained there for a year. Then from cashier to waitress to Marketing. 2002 After the birth of my first child Shawn, I returned to College and obtained a Diploma in health. My love of the people and the work with the elderly’s pleased me, I sang acapella in the cafeteria for the erdely during lunch. Then I started to feel the excessive lack of a musical life, so lively and so deep that it was necessary for me to try to be me, the artist, the singer, born to sing. I did researches on Internet to contact musicians... And there! I am a Musician from Quebec Mathieu Binette! Over time a solid musical friendship that slowly converted itself into love. A song was born. My words and his music «I got some love» a song that we want to include to my repertoire one day. Mathieu taught me most of the technical. Of our union a girl was born «Marie Ève» November 2003 I auditioned for a provincial competition «Bathurst talent search» with Travels Jeannine`s Tour. I was chosen to be part of the 26 finalists for the competition. From November 2003 to March 2004 I sang on stage in front of a very vast public. This is how I became a true singer, of experience, I learned my trade on the boards and I love performing. I always want more! I remained among the 6 last finalists and was the last one to represent my county... January 2005 I virtually met with the official website of Martial Marey. After listening to his magnificent songs, I wrote him offering him my voice. Martial accepted! And this is the beginning of a big musical and friendly collaboration. March 2005 I auditioned for Star Academie(Québec) in Moncton. Sang Martial`s title "T`Aimer Au Firmament". I am proud to have been chosen one of their favorite in my region, even if I wasn`t chosen to move on. I have over 20 original songs recorded, Most of them are collaboration with Martial Marey(singer,songwriter.,composer) and a few more great Authors in France.
